Provided by AGPChannel 12 reported that Netanyahu had asked the Jerusalem District Court overnight to limit his testimony to three hours, but the court refused the request.
The report said Netanyahu justified the request by citing a “security-related schedule,” and had asked to begin his testimony in the Case 1000 proceedings at 12:30 p.m. instead of the originally scheduled 9:30 a.m., according to a newspaper.
On Tuesday, Netanyahu appeared before the Tel Aviv District Court for the 81st time. It was his first appearance since the escalation of the war with Iran on Feb. 28.
Netanyahu is currently facing charges of corruption, bribery, and breach of trust across three separate cases—known as Case 1000, Case 2000, and Case 4000—after indictments were filed in November 2019.
Case 1000 concerns allegations that Netanyahu and his family received expensive gifts from wealthy businessmen in exchange for political favors.
In Case 2000, he is accused of discussing a deal with Arnon Mozes, publisher of Yedioth Ahronoth, in which favorable media coverage would be exchanged for regulatory or legislative advantages.
